MONTHLY VEG MEETUP DISCUSSION GROUP gatherings are casual and are held in restaurants over great vegetarian food. Discussions include a variety of topics that support people in making healthier, earth friendly choices in diet and lifestyle. There are two different groups, one vegan and one vegetarian. The Vegetarian Meetup meets at the popular vegetarian Indian Restaurant Mango Grove at 8865 Stanford Boulevard, Columbia, Maryland, 21045, on the first Sunday at 12:30 pm. Contact the restaurant at 410-884-3426 or email them info@themangogrove.net. http://themangogrove.net/ And the Vegan Meetup gets together at Mr. Chan Szechuan in Pikesville on the third Wednesday at 7 pm. Both groups welcome anyone who is interested in learning about healthier eating. For details, or to register and let others know you plan to attend, go to http://vegetarian.meetup.com/9/, or to http://vegan.meetup.com/29/.

The group is a great place to get some suggestions and support about any challenge you are facing with reference to diet and lifestyle. Earthsave Baltimore is a nonprofit educational group that helps people learn a healthier and more peaceful way of eating and living. We help people take their next step toward a whole foods, plant based diet and a healthier lifestyle.

Our Veg/Vegan Educational Dinner Series usually meets on the last Saturday of the month, and gives folks the opportunity to connect with friendly, like minded people. On July 29th we will meet in the fellowship hall of Govans Presbyterian Church, 5828 York Rd, Baltimore, 21212. The church is located a little south of the historic Senator Theater, on the same side of the street as the Senator.

Attendees will be invited to share a success story or inspiration, and we will get to know each other a little better through community building conversations and exercises. Prizes will be awarded to those who prepare the favorite dishes of the evening. Please RSVP and let us know whether you plan to bring a dish to share.

DINNER GUESTS may choose to either bring a dish made without animal products (to serve 8) plus $5 (members pay just $2) donation; pay $15 (members pay just $12) to enjoy dinner and presentation; or pay $5 for presentation only. We eat first, then make announcements, and then hear the presentation. Let us know in advance, if possible, if you plan to pay for dinner rather than bring a dish. RSVP by calling 410-252-3043, or emailing Baltimore@Earthsave.org. Meetings are held at Govans Presbyterian Church, 5828 York Rd, Baltimore, 21212. Please RSVP and join us!

(Advance Registration Required) Dr. David Madow has another special evening with great food and fun entertainment lined up for us. The first two such events were lots of fun and featured the wonderful Indian vegan cuisine of the Taj Palace, in Owings Mills, MD. Both events played to capacity crowds.

The next open mic will feature a Vegan Chinese Buffet, and will be held at the China Moon, 100 Chartley Dr. in Reisterstown, MD 21136.

WHAT IS A VEGAN OPEN MIC? Well, first let’s say its a brand new concept and this is the first in the world that we know of! Enjoy delicious vegan Chinese food served all you can eat family style! Then feel free to step up to the microphone in front of a very friendly and non-judgmental audience!

- you can do a little talk
- tell a story about why you are (or are not) vegan
- sing a song
- play guitar
- tell a joke
- do magic
- do a little standup comedy, or...
- anything that your imagination will allow! You don’t have to participate in the open mic. You can just enjoy watching!

All welcome: vegans, vegetarians, veg curious, or omnivores! Please note that all food will be vegan at this event! This is guaranteed to be a FUN evening! It’s the ONLY event of it’s kind.

We have a private room and seating will be limited so please reserve early!

Important! The restaurant is giving us a special price for the all you can eat family style meals. There will be many courses plus dessert. This also includes soft drinks, iced tea and hot tea. The price per person which includes gratuity and tax is $28.50. Since the restaurant is reserving this space just for us and preparing the food ahead of time, they need a head count as well as a deposit from me. So I need to collect $28.50 in advance for everyone that is attending. Note: alcohol will be served and is not included in this price. You can purchase alcohol once you are there.

And the price is right - just $28.50 for everything except alcohol. Please register soon and join us! https://www.davidmadow.com/vegan-open-mic/
