MONTHLY VEG MEETUP DISCUSSION GROUP gatherings are casual and are held in restaurants over great vegetarian food. Discussions include a variety of topics that support people in making healthier, earth friendly choices in diet and lifestyle.

There are two different groups, one vegan and one vegetarian. The Vegetarian Meetup meets at the popular vegetarian Indian Restaurant Mango Grove at 8865 Stanford Boulevard, Columbia, Maryland, 21045, on the first Sunday at 12:30 pm. Contact the restaurant at 410-884-3426 or email them info@themangogrove.net. http://themangogrove.net/ And the Vegan Meetup gets together at Mr. Chan Szechuan in Pikesville on the third Wednesday at 7 pm. Both groups welcome anyone who is interested in learning about healthier eating. For details, or to register and let others know you plan to attend, go to http://vegetarian.meetup.com/9/, or to http://vegan.meetup.com/29/.

Members and guests get the opportunity to introduce themselves and let us know what led to your interest in diet and lifestyle change... or you may prefer to ask a question, or ask for advice on a challenge you are facing. You might want to share a life experience or success story... or perhaps an idea about how we might better spread the word about a healthier and more peaceful away of eating.

Vegeterian Summerfest is a terrific, annual educational conference, presented by North American Vegetarian Society, on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Veg Summerfest features world-class speakers and facilitators and the very best educational opportunities on veg/vegan lifestyle. It gives us a chance to connect with friendly, like-minded people, and enjoy a nice variety of wonderful vegan cuisine! The event just gets better and better each year! We are expecting another record-breaking attendance of perhaps 800 or more. The hard part for most attendees is in deciding which classes to attend. There are 6-7 available presentations from which to select each daylight hour. We have the option to register for full conference or just the weekend sessions. Call Earthsave at 410-252-3043 or email Baltimore@earthsave.org if you would like to carpool. Hope to see you there! http://vegetariansummerfest.org/
